The client’s challenge
After its success in Switzerland, MyHerbal planned a strategic expansion into Austria. A simple “clone” of the existing website was not enough, as local tax rules, shipping logistics and country-specific payment methods had to be taken into account.
The biggest challenge was building trust quickly in a new and highly competitive market. That made extremely fast loading times (performance) and a flawless smartphone experience essential.
Key challenges:
- ● Full localisation for the Austrian market (terminology, taxes)
- ● Integration of Austrian payment and shipping providers
- ● Maximum loading performance (Core Web Vitals) for SEO
- ● Building trust with a completely new audience
- ● A fast, seamless checkout experience
The proposed solution
We developed an independent, highly optimised e-commerce infrastructure on the .at domain. We kept the familiar, conversion-focused design of the Swiss website while adapting all the back-end logic to the standards of the Austrian market.
Extensive caching, image optimisation and clean code allowed us to maximise performance. Customers can access products instantly even on mobile connections, which drastically reduces the abandonment rate.
What we delivered
The end result
MyHerbal.at entered the Austrian market on a technically flawless foundation. Google rewards the extremely fast loading times with good rankings, while Austrian customers enjoy a smooth, trustworthy and localised shopping experience.

Why this approach worked
- ● Focus on performance: In e-commerce, milliseconds count. Loading speed prevented drop-offs.
- ● Authentic localisation: No half measures. From taxes to payment methods, the shop feels familiar to Austrian customers.
- ● Proven UX: The tried-and-tested, successful interface from Switzerland was adopted and refined further.
- ● Solid foundation: The clear technical separation (.ch vs .at) prevents duplicate content and strengthens local SEO.
