About the project

The website is a one-page invitation to a first-birthday celebration combined with the Romanian tradition of «tăierea moțului», where a lock of the child's hair is cut and the child picks objects from a tray. It is aimed at family and friends, who can view all the details on their phone and confirm attendance directly.

We built a lean, fast microsite with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, served from a LiteSpeed server. A countdown, photos from the first months, a dress-code section and a map link guide guests through the event. The multi-step RSVP form stores answers via a PHP script and offers a Google Calendar entry after confirmation.

The starting point

For a family celebration, guests needed not only to be invited but also to be counted reliably: who is coming, with how many adults and children, and with which dietary needs. At the same time the invitation had to feel personal and cheerful and work well on any smartphone.
